Important news - Robot size for Primary school ( Adventure Race )

During NRC 2010 zone johor we saw that a lot of schools forgot the size of robot can't exceed maximum size (25cm X 25cm X 25cm) after robot start....EVEN DURING ROBOT TRANSFORMING.

Thats means robot from start box to finish box can't exceed maximum size.

How to know the robot is miss-tracked or not in Adventure Race and Treasure Hunt???

A lot of students keep asking how to judge the robot miss-tracked.

Miss-track means all wheels of the robot are on one side of the track line, so if any wheel still on the track line even it touch a bit track line only, the robot still haven't miss-tracked.

Only the wheels that use to support or move the robot is counted, the wheels that useless or just for decorate is not count, so don't put many wheels on the robot to avoid miss-tracked.

Trigger the switches in Treasure Hunt

To trigger the switch, the robot must follow the respective line (A, C or B) until any parts of the robot touch the wall.

For example, to trigger the switch A, the robot must follow the Line A until any parts of the robot touch the wall, it can't just park at the T junction and extend some arm to touch the wall.

SMK Bintulu won the Best Teamwork Award in FLL Open International Championship Taiwan during 6-8 May 2010, the FLL in Taiwan is really amazing and every students, teachers even the judges are also very excited....

Hai every body, tomorrow i will go to Taiwan with SJKC Jalan Davidson and SMK Bintulu for FLL Open International Championship.

So i will be not in Malaysia from 5-10 May......

and please don't call when i in Taiwan...because very expensive......wahaha......Bye...

FLL 2010 NEWS!!

1. For the first day (16 March 2010) team registration, students is no need to attend, only team coach need to come and register, we will give the team schedule to coach during coach meeting.

2. Mission judging - The robot no need re-built during competition, just bring the robot to the playing field and run the robot, only 2 operators can stand around the playing field, but the team can change the operators any time during 2.5 minutes judging.

There are around 53 teams join the League,FLL 2010 playing filed will be send to school start by next week...

The FLL 2010 is around March...much earlier than NRC 2010(Local competition is start around MAY)...

The robot is required to trace the tracked line from the starting box and complete circuit in the shortest time possible.

TREASURE HUNT (LOWER SECONDARY)

The robot is required to trace the tracked line from the starting point, knock down an aluminium tin, then secure and carry another aluminium tin to the finish line

VERTICAL LIMIT (UPPER SECONDARY SCHOOL)

Robot is required to climb the two poles, get the ball on top of the poles and climb down the poles with the ball.
